Denver Institute for Faith and Work produces two signature events annually—widely regarded for their quality and impact. However, recent staffing changes disrupted continuity in planning and execution. The team, while talented and mission-driven, was struggling to collaborate effectively. Communication felt fragmented, and key planning steps were buried or duplicated.

Over the course of three weeks, Way Forth partnered with the Denver Institute team to:
 

• Streamline event planning processes

• Centralize communication tools and protocols

• Enhance collaboration using the systems they already had in place

We didn't introduce new software. Instead, we restructured how existing tools like Asana, Slack, Google Drive, and meeting agendas were used to better support a lean and agile team.
 

This involved:

• Creating replicable event templates for repeatability

• Introducing rolling agendas for seamless meetings

• Establishing clear modality norms for when and how to use various communication tools

• Aligning project timelines with actionable workflows inside Asana

The operational ROI was immediate and measurable:
 

• The team reported a significant increase in efficiency

• Planning no longer began with, “Wait, where do we start?”

• Meetings are more productive, with less redundancy

• Communication channels are aligned with purpose and urgency

• Templates and workflows are saving time and reducing errors
   

Importantly, this was all accomplished without a costly platform overhaul—just a better PM framework, guidance, and implementation within existing infrastructure.
